xPeerient™ Privacy Policy
xPeerient, Inc (“xPeerient,” “we” or “us”) operates a platform that facilitates connections between buyers and sellers of IT solutions to enable buyers to identify sellers that may possess the technology and methodology skills to meet their project requirements (the “Service”) through its proprietary system that is hosted by or for xPeerient™ and available via the Internet at our Web site (the “Site”). We desire to build trust and confidence in our products and services and are committed to respecting the privacy of Site users. To demonstrate our commitment to privacy, this notice (“Privacy Policy”) contains information about our privacy practices. As part of the normal operation of the Site, we may collect certain information about you. In all cases, use of the information that we collect from you is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected.
INFORMATION GATHERED THROUGH THE SITE
There are three ways in which information about you can be gathered when you use the xPeerient™ Site:
- When you visit the Site, our Web server identifies the IP address of your computer and resolves it into a domain name (a domain name is a computer address by which one computer communicates with the other).
- By using programming scripts, we collect information about the type of browser, operating system, and system configuration that you use.
The foregoing information is stored as anonymous, aggregate data. The collection of such data may entail the use of cookies, IP addresses or other numeric codes used to identify a computer. We may use such data to help diagnose problems with our server, analyze trends, and administer the Site.
- In order to obtain access to portions of our Site, including the Service, you will be required to provide certain information about yourself (which may include your name, contact information including your address, your phone number, the name of your organization, and your e-mail address, and/or preferred username and password). We refer to all of this information as “Personal Information”. The Personal Information provided by you may be used for such purposes as responding to your requests for certain products and services and communicating with you about new product and service offerings and it may be provided to another user of the Site upon your authorization.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION GENERALLY
Except for use of your Personal Information in connection with the Service as described below, xPeerient™ uses your Personal Information for internal purposes only. xPeerient™ does not and will not sell, rent, distribute or otherwise provide your information to third parties. xPeerient™ considers the privacy of our Site users to be of utmost importance. We may, in certain cases, share the information we collect with our partners in aggregate, anonymous form to ensure that we provide better service to our customers.
Other than specified above, we will not share your Personal Information with any third parties except if (1) reasonably necessary to provide requested services to you, (2) authorized by you, or (3) we are required to do so by law or regulation, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary (a) to conform or comply with any legal, regulatory, law enforcement or similar requirement or investigation, (b) to enforce the Site’s Terms of Service, or (c) to protect or defend our rights or property or that of any other user. We may also transfer information about you to another company in connection with a merger, sale or acquisition by or of xPeerient™. In this event, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
